Smart Meters Are Invading YOUR Privacy!

What will it take for Texans to realize that their right to privacy is at stake?

We have been warning Texans for years about the threat that the Smart Grid and the Smart Meters (Advanced Meters) present to their freedom and their Constitutional Rights under the Fourth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. Why are Texans still not listening?

Is everyone so comfortable with what the Texas legislature and the various Texas agencies are doing that they actually believe that the bureaucracies have our individual rights protected? We can attest to the fact that they do not! While there are a few representatives and senators who are trying to help Texans protect their rights, there are so few of them that without the average Texan's help and input, they cannot push for our safety and protection. Every Texan should be EXTREMELY concerned!

We know that discussing or learning about how the Public Utility Commission of Texas works is pretty boring, but it is of utmost importance that every Texan understands what is at stake. While most people cannot fathom a possibility of any risks to the public's health from the meters, there is proof that the adverse health effects are real and that many Texans are suffering from those effects! If you cannot wrap your head around the health issues, there is overwhelming proof that the smart meters are invading your privacy! Even the Energy Industry is now admitting that our privacy is being invaded and they are telling us that their ability to turn our appliances on and off is happening all the time. They also admit that hackers can and do hack into our computers via appliances like refrigerators.

Our technology is changing at such a rapid pace that the average consumer cannot keep up with how the new technology infiltrates our homes, our jobs, our towns and cities, and our entire lives. The time is now for every Texan to stand together against the infringement upon our privacy rights! Texas is the key to undoing the damage that our current administration has done to the entire country! Our stand here will affect every American!

Won't YOU join with us in this fight to save our freedom?

Dear Sir or Madam,

This letter is to inform you that it is my intention to NOT have a Smart Meter (aka Advanced Meter) as soon as your tariff is approved by the PUC of Texas.?

In addition, please note that you are NOT to install any kind of advanced meter on my property, the only meter you may install is an ANALOG METER.

I am notifying you now in order to offer you the opportunity to accurately report to the PUC of Texas the number of consumers within your territory that will be opting out.

I would also like to add that I am severely disappointed with the way you have conducted your business by ignoring the law as it was written by the Texas Legislature.? You are well aware that the intent was only to encourage the roll out of advanced meters and the new technology.? Nothing mandated the advanced meters, but you ignored the wishes of your customers like me who did not want one of the advanced meters.

I pray that in the future you realize that you are doing business in the United States of America and that we DO still have a Constitution that we live by, that includes businesses!????????????

Sincerely,

Dear Sir or Madam,

In 20_ _ (Insert TDU Name) came to my property to install an Advanced Meter (aka Smart Meter).? Although I instructed the installer not to install the Advanced Meter, he/she did so anyway against my wishes.?

This issue has been brought before the PUCT several times over the last 4 years without any satisfactory results.? I, along with many Texan ratepayers know that the PUCT did not follow the law (HB 2129 79th TX Legislature) as written.? Both Representative Dennis Bonnen and Senator John Carona, the original authors of HB 2129, made it clear to the PUCT that the PUCT should allow consumers a way to opt-out without any fees.? Both have also stated that it was never the intent of the legislation to mandate the smart meters, and the legislation actually states that various electric entities were to offer customers an option.

My complaint is against both the Texas Public Utility Commission and my (insert TDU Name).? Both ignored my real property rights by creating a full deployment of the Advanced Meters, without offering consumers the ability to keep their analog meter.?

While I understand that you do not represent individual ratepayers, your office was established to protect the residential and small business ratepayers, and I, along with many other Texans are asking you to please represent our rights by instructing the PUCT to reopen the rulemaking docket for advanced metering in the state of Texas.

It is in the best interest of all Texans that the PUCT take another look at their ruling and how it was implemented.

?

Sincerely,
