Herein lies the first post of my new blog. Not sure what I will be ranting about, but I'm sure I will come up with something. Things are pretty crazy right now with a 2-year old perpetual-energy conduit (read: my daughter is 2 and she is always on the go). I have another one due at the end of March/early April. In fact, knowing that I would soon be a father is really what forced my hand at getting involved, not just with the 9/12 Association, but 'politics' and current events as whole. I was content in my early 20s to laugh at the idiot PC crowd, complain about stupid laws that force me to conform to the will of the 'intelligencia' in DC. But this election opened my eyes, as it has so many others. Not because of the candidate, his color, or the letter after his name - but because of the stance on the issues, his associations, and the comments made during the campaign. So if you're a troll that's going to start posting how racist or stupid I am for criticizing Obama (yes, Newsweek, I'm talking to you) I am, let it go. I don't care what you think. Go spit. I truly believe that we, as a nation, would not be as active as we are had we not been jarred awake by the sheer speed & scope of many of the 'fundamentally transformative' changes that we have undergone the past 3 years. So for that, I am thankful. But there is much work to do. 2012 is a new year. Let us pray we can right this ship of state before it is too late. Prayer alone will not solve our woes. To whom much is given, much is required. And that means we must ACT. Let's roll!
